Amalfi Coast in November: Weather, Crowds & What's Open
November is the quiet start of the Amalfi Coast's low season: mild but wetter, with far fewer visitors, lower prices, and some seasonal ferries and beach clubs winding down. Here is what to expect and how to plan.

What the weather is like in November
November is mild by northern-European standards but noticeably cooler and wetter than the summer. Daytime highs are typically in the mid-to-high teens and the sea is still relatively warm from the summer, though swimming is for the hardy. It is one of the wetter months, so pack for rain as well as sun.
| Avg high | Avg low | Sea | Rainy days |

| 17°C | 11°C | 19°C | ~10 |

Crowds and prices
Crowds thin out sharply after late October. You can walk through Ravello's gardens and the main towns without the summer crush, restaurants are easy to get into, and accommodation is generally cheaper than in peak season. The trade-off is that the coast is quieter in every sense: some venues close for the winter.
What is open, and transport
SITA Sud buses run year-round, so you can reach the towns by road. Ferry services are seasonal and are reduced or suspended as winter approaches, so do not rely on them in November — confirm with the operators (Travelmar, SITA Sud) for your exact dates. Some beach clubs, boat tours and a number of restaurants reduce hours or close. Major sights such as Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone usually stay open with shorter winter hours — check their official pages before visiting.
Driving and parking
Driving is easier than in summer, with far less traffic on the coastal road, though rain can make the bends slower. Town centres remain limited-traffic zones (ZTL); see the driving guide. If you bring a car, Villa Mansi has free private parking.
What to do in November
This is a good month for walking: cooler temperatures suit the coastal trails, including the Path of the Gods, as long as you check conditions after rain. Otherwise it is a month for gardens, food, quiet town-wandering and day trips; see things to do in Ravello.
What to pack
Layers, a warm top for the evenings, a waterproof jacket and an umbrella, and comfortable non-slip shoes for wet, stepped streets. Swimwear is optional. See the packing guide.
Is November a good time to visit?
November suits travellers who want quiet, lower prices and walking weather, and who do not need reliable ferries or beach days. Frequently Asked Questions
- Is the Amalfi Coast worth visiting in November?

- Do ferries run on the Amalfi Coast in November?
- Ferry services are seasonal and are reduced or suspended as winter approaches, so do not rely on them in November. SITA Sud buses run year-round. Confirm current timetables with the operators for your dates.
